Our Hotel Goldene Rose is an opportunity to spend a holiday with excellent cuisine, outdoor activities and relaxation. Our hotel nestles in the beautiful nature of the Dolomites, UNESCO World Natural Heritage, home of the world-famous Three Peaks and a popular tourist area. With the half-board option, you can get the day off to the best possible start with a rich breakfast buffet and end it with a mouth-watering 4-course menu made with top-quality, regional products.

Rooms and wellness centre for your relaxation

Our hotel will welcome you with typical South Tyrolean hospitality in its 25 cosily furnished rooms. The rooms in the main house are equipped with new bathrooms. Our guests can also indulge in the new wellness oasis with beauty centre in our wellness hotel. 130 m² of warmth with steam bath, Finnish sauna and infrared cabin are at your disposal.

Immersed in the beauty of the Dolomites

Our hotel is nestled in the wonderful natural setting of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, home of the Three Peaks, and a famous tourist area. From Welsberg, in just a few minutes, you can reach the ski lifts of Kronplatz and of Hochpustertal, venture on walks in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park or visit one of the many romantic lakes in the area, such as the one in Toblach.

Very nice hotel and above all, VERY CLEAN! Excellent food and carefully prepared dishes, very close to Lake Braies and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

We've been coming to the Schmid family for a few years now. An excellent hotel, clean rooms, fantastic staff and service. Excellent food both in the evening and in the morning. We're always happy to come back.

Centrally located, well-maintained hotel. The apartment is very spacious and fully equipped for independent living. It has two bedrooms with two TVs and a lovely balcony overlooking the square. Convenient parking is available behind the building. Cons: The apartment we booked is located in the building next door, and to get there, you have to enter through the main door, go up the stairs (or take the elevator), then walk through a corridor and down the stairs again.

We've been returning to this hotel for many years. Central location, convenient for green travel to nearby attractions by train or bus using the free pass provided by the hotel. Very friendly staff. Excellent gourmet dinners. Spacious and very clean rooms.

We just returned from vacation and had a wonderful time. We slept well, and the food was excellent, both at breakfast and dinner. Suitable for cyclists. The wellness center was very nice. The rooms and hotel were clean, and the owners and staff were very kind and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing.

If you need the perfect base for exploring the Alta Pusteria Valley without breaking the bank, the Hotel Goldene Rose in Monguelfo is the perfect choice. Comfortable rooms, a generous breakfast, and—something as rare as a unicorn on the highway—genuinely friendly staff. The kind of kindness that isn't textbook courtesy, but genuine, spontaneous, and smiling. They make you feel more at home here than in your living room (also because they clean better here). The strategic location, just steps from the train station (very convenient if you're traveling by train), and free parking if you arrive with a car full of hopes and heavy backpacks. The double sauna and whirlpool are the icing on the cake. Or rather, on the strudel.
