Zamek Wolfsthurn
Najpiękniejszy zamek w Tyrolu - opisany przez historyka Joh. Nep. Tinkhausera (1828) - jest otwarty dla publiczności jako muzeum łowiectwa i rybołówstwa. Zapewnia wgląd w życie szlachty, a przede wszystkim w łowiectwo jako część kultury ludowej.
Zamek Wolfsthurn wznosi się na wzgórzu nad Mareit, u wejścia do doliny Ridnaun. W XVIII wieku Franz Andrä von Sternbach nabył stary zamek Wolfsthurn i zbudował na jego miejscu barokowy kompleks zamkowy, który do dziś jest własnością rodziny.
Zamek Wolfsthurn do dziś uważany jest za wspaniały przykład architektury barokowej. Jest to szczególnie żywa ilustracja entuzjazmu do liczenia w tamtych czasach. Mówi się, że zamek w pobliżu Vipiteno ma 365 okien, 52 drzwi, 12 kominków i cztery portale. Oznaczają one rok z jego kalendarzowymi dniami, tygodniami, miesiącami i porami roku.
Muzeum Łowiectwa i Rybołówstwa Południowego Tyrolu
Od 1996 roku w zamku mieści się między innymi Regionalne Muzeum Łowiectwa i Rybołówstwa Południowego Tyrolu. Sale wystawowe rozmieszczone są na trzech piętrach i dotyczą różnych tematów.
Pierwsze piętro oferuje odwiedzającym bogactwo informacji na temat łowiectwa i rybołówstwa z perspektywy kulturowej i historycznej. Oprócz domowych zwierząt łownych, ważną rolę odgrywa sztuka ludowa i przedmioty używane do polowań.
Drugie piętro poświęcone jest historii zamku Wolfsthurn. Wycieczka daje dobre wyobrażenie o życiu szlachty w XVIII i XIX wieku. Pokoje państwowe zamku są imponujące i bogato wyposażone w oryginalne meble z różnych epok, gobeliny, artystycznie malowane tapety materiałowe, żyrandole, portrety rodzinne, malowane rokokowe piece i pastelowe stiuki.
Parter został specjalnie zaprojektowany dla młodszych gości muzeum. W trzech pokojach mogą oni w zabawny sposób odkrywać lokalny świat zwierząt.
