In Eisacktal, Meran or Bozen and environs we have the harvest tradition of "Törggelen", but in the transit time between summer and winter the entertainment program is not really vast.
Therefore, the long night of museums is a welcome cultural alternative. It starts at 4.00 pm and 8 museums in and around Bozen participate: the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, the Museum of Nature, the Museion (museum of modern and contemporary art), Runkelstein Castle, the Mercantile Museum, the School Museum, the Semirurali House and the Victory Monument with a documentary exhibition.
The program includes special guided tours for young and older visitors, music, workshops and readings, special exhibitions and more.
The entrance to all participating museums is free. The museums outside the city centre are easily accessible by public transport or bicycle.
