Days of Architecture

Constant changes over the centuries have made the mountain landscape of the Dolomites and other areas in South Tyrol inhabitable. Still today, South Tyrol’s cultural history is ever-present and revives in its historical monuments and buildings.

Wherever we look, from the smallest town in the mountains to the biggest vivid centres – South Tyrol shows a rich cultural history. The coexistence of various cultures is reflected in the diversity of architectural buildings.

Guided tours to characteristic buildings

This year for the fourth time, it is possible to explore the architectural treasures in South Tyrol in occasion of guided tours. On three days, from May 17th to May 19th 2019, the participants visit around 50 buildings. Among these farms, villas, hotels and other public and private buildings with an appreciable architecture. 

A unique opportunity for arts and architecture lovers to look behind the facades of the buildings! Accompanied by architects and owners, you can learn a lot about the planning and construction phase. 

The main topic of the “Days of architecture” this year is the concept of genius loci in South Tyrol, denoting the constructional specifications and characteristics of a place in architecture.

The event takes you on a trip through South Tyrol. The program includes 11 tours in various valleys and localities. The cost for these half day or full day excursions – by car, by bus or on foot – ranges between 15 and 50 euros per person. The number of participants is limited.
